You’ll love Portland. Almost all of the players that have been here have not wanted to leave. They love the club, they love the fans, and they love the city. If you can, you should.
To answer your question, there is plenty of places to find information on the Timbers throughout the year. Though, the best place I can recommend for you to go is soccercityusa.com. They have areas for attendance, rosters, pictures, and match recaps dating back to 2001. But for the most part, people go there for the forum. There, you can get some of the best information on current news and rumors, connect and share stories with other TA, and you can search or ask any questions you have about the club. Just beware of the offseason trolls.

Since I’ve been attending Timbers matches, the Timbers FO has done a great job of awarding their most ardent supporters with opportunities to meet and interact with players. They normally hold a barbecue yearly where people can play on the pitch, meet players, and get autographs.
Of the current Timbers, I’ve met Bright Dike, Darlington Nagbe, Kalif Alhassan, Jack Jewsbury, James Marcelin, Lovel Palmer, Mike Chabala, and Jake Gleeson. Former Timbers include Kenny Cooper, Brian Unintended, Takayuki Suzuki, Takuro Nishimura, Cameron Knowles, Shaun Higgins, Tommy Poltl, Scot Thompson, Bryan Jordan, Josh Saunders, Jason Mclaughlin, and Lawrence Olum. As well as obviously meeting Merritt, Gavin, Timber Joey, and Timber Jim. Coincidentally, I actually just ran into Jim the other night at the store.
And one thing I cam tell you, is that every single person from the club that I have met has been a genuinely nice and awesome person. Not just talking to you and wanting to get the hell out of there. They sincerely take interest in what you say and are extremely humble.
